Open Merit Scholarships for Economically Backward Class (EBC)

Students is an initiative by the School Education and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to EBC students pursuing higher secondary education (Classes 11 and 12) to encourage and support their academic endeavors.

Eligibility Criteria:

Residency: Applicants must be residents of Maharashtra.

• Educational Qualification: Students should be enrolled in Class 11 or 12.

Academic Performance: A minimum of 50% marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination is required.

First Attempt: Students must have passed the SSC examination on their first attempt.

Benefits:

For Hostellers:

Boys: 140 per month for 10 months (totaling 1,400 annually).

Girls: 2160 per month for 10 months (totaling 21,600 annually).

Boys: 280 per month for 10 months (totaling 2800 annually).

Girls: ₹100 per month for 10 months (totaling ₹1,000 annually).

Application Process:

Eligible students can apply online through the Maharashtra Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) portal. The application requires submission of necessary documents, including proof of residence, SSC mark sheet, and bank account details.
